Last weekend I saw my friend Ernie’s chicken farm. 14,000 of these in two huge coops - no cages. Wow.

Lucy expressed disappointment that I don’t update this more often, so here’s something to ponder

Back in the early ‘90’s, A guy called Grasshopper worked as our assistant chef at Camp Takodah. I remember him for his great homemade pizza dough and some of the best vegetarian food we’ve ever put out. I also remember him for gluing dozens of army men to the hood of hs car, and later for driving a truck that didn’t go in reverse. Now it seems another grasshopper ran for mayor of San Francisco. Too bad he didn’t win. I’m pretty sure it’s not the same guy, but I wonder…Thanks to my friend Lacey for pointing this out.
